Playroom Volunteers (Prison Support Services)

Prison Support Service volunteers with Children

Prison Support Services works closely with relevant social services and provides professional support to the families of incarcerated person(s). Through various programmes and services, Kids In Play (KIP) aims to address the impact of incarceration on the children of incarcerated parent(s) and their caregivers.


Role of Playroom Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to manage the playroom activities and take care of the children while they wait to visit inmates.


Things to Note
Do take note that Playroom Volunteers have to attend and complete a Full Day Basic Prison Volunteer Training and obtain a Prison Volunteer Pass before becoming eligible as a volunteer. The training and screening process will take at least 3 months.


Requirements
We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit on a regular basis (3 to 6 months) after successfully completed the training and screening process. Volunteers have to be above 21. Prior experince with children would be beneficial.


Time and Date
Mondays to Fridays, 12 to 4pm
